HOTEL BOOKING (open to all)

EMSP has negotiated favorable room rates at the conference venue (do feel free to search online for even better rates).

The rooms need to be booked and paid by the individual delegate via a link that brings you to the conference venue’s booking system.

The rooms are available on a first come first serve basis and the hotel’s cancellation policy applies..

 Please be aware that the rates are only available until 15 February 2019. After that date, the standard hotel rates apply (when rooms are available).

-          The rate for a superior single room is €130 incl tax (including breakfast & WIFI and excluding the city tax of 1 EUR) - max 14 rooms availabe

-          The rate for a premium single room is €140 incl tax (including breakfast & WIFI and excluding the city tax of 1 EUR) - max 40 rooms available

CLINICAL RESEARCH WORKSHOP (Open to all)

Fee is included in the conference registration but pre-registration is mandatory.

The goal of this session is to provide a basic understanding on drug development and in particular what the role & importance of clinical research is in this context and how patients are involved in this.

The focus will be around ethical guidelines related to clinical research, how to find clinical trials as a patient and the informed consent process.

The workshop is in English.

The workshop takes place on Saturday 11 May, AM, in the conference venue (check the conference programme for the details)

Members’ seated dinner and excursion to Vilnius Old Town (Open to Members)

The dinner is offered by EMSP. The excursion is offered by the Lithuanian MS Union.

Pre-registration is mandatory.

The dinner and excursion take place in Vilnius Old Town.

A bus leaves at 18:00 on Thursday 9 May from the conference hotel. We meet in the lobby of the hotel. Estimated return time is 23:00.

Excursion: from 18:00 - 19:30

Dinner: from 19:30 - 22:30

People with reduced mobility: please indicate upon registration.

EXCURSION TO TRAKAI ISLAND (Open to all)

The excursion is offered by the Lithuanian MS Union.

From Wikipedia: Trakai Island Castle (LithuanianTrakų salos pilis) is an island castle located in TrakaiLithuania, on an island in Lake Galvė. The construction of the stone castle was begun in the 14th century by Kęstutis, and around 1409 major works were completed by his son Vytautas the Great, who died in this castle in 1430. Trakai was one of the main centers of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the castle held great strategic importance.
