Letter from the President

EMSP ANNUAL CONFERENCE 2023

Letter from the President

Dear Members of the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Community,

Dear Partners,

On behalf of the Executive Committee and Staff of the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform (EMSP), I am delighted to announce the opening of the registrations to our upcoming Annual Conference 2023.

The theme of this year’s conference “Social Policy: A Better Life for People with MS”, reflecting the importance of social policies in improving the welfare and quality of life of people affected by MS. We are committed to exploring the impact of different social policies, including employment, active family and parenthood support, preventing social exclusion and others, on people living with MS, and how we can ensure that these policies are as effective as possible.

We believe that social policies have an important role to play in improving the lives of people living with MS and their relatives and close ones. This can be achieved through providing access to healthcare and social services, to education and employment, which can improve the quality of life of people living with MS. We are also committed to ensuring that the policy making process is fair and transparent, and we will be discussing the challenges and opportunities that arise when developing and implementing social policies.

At this year’s conference, we will be joined by experts from across the MS community who will share their knowledge and experience within the theme of social policies. We will also be hearing from representatives of various organisations and institutions who are working to ensure that social policies are effective and equitable for patients.

We look forward to an engaging, productive and impactful conference, and we hope to see you in Helsinki between 5-6 May.

Sincerely,
